relaxed, both physically and mentally. Only, just before impact, does one
tense up their muscles and focus on the point of impact.
Students are often apprehensive and even scared, this will
cause the student to be tense, thus impede on their speed and also cause
fatigue. Fatigue and apprehension can become a vicious cycle making the
fighter useless. Relaxation is the key to success. Speed is essential in the
art of Tae Kwon Do.
